It's catching on

Halloween still has a ways to go in Italy before it becomes as big as it is in the states. Last year I remember seeing some decorations and people in costume in the large streets of Rome, but still very few. In Florence, where the population of American students is practically as large as the indigenous population and the city center is only a few square miles, costumes and Halloween parties are easier to bump into. But Italy is getting into it slowly but surely. Here's an article from Italy's largest daily newspaper, La Repubblica, about making Halloween at home.
