Oktoberfest Florence Style

I spent this past weekend visiting friends in Florence, and Saturday night we hit up the German market in Santa Croce. I have some great pictures from it that I would like to share.

I was able to walk around all of my favorite neighborhoods in Rome yesterday in preparation for my upcoming walking/food tours of Rome. Yes, I'm giving food tours in Rome! I gave both food and wine tours in Florence, and now am taking on the Roman scene with a tour that is 100% my own creation and in my absolute favorite neighborhoods.

Roma Bus Lifesaver!

My least favorite mode of transportation in Rome is most definitely the bus. I dislike pretty much everything about them. The only bus I ever got along with was the Party Bus. And even then it was a love-hate relationship.

One of the main reasons I dislike this mode of transportation is the waiting time at the bus stop. You never know when it's going to arrive. Until now. This ancient city has gone mobile and created an app that tells you when your bus will arrive! What a game changer. Now you can check the schedule before you leave the house so you can time your trip properly.

Just download the free app "Probus" and enter the five-digit stop number on the bottom of the sign, and the app tells you the time of arrival for all if the buses at that stop!

Grocery store slacking

I'm back in Roma and back in the swing of things. ...Except grocery shopping. I've been so busy this week I somehow completely forgot that the grocery stores are all closed on Sunday! Oops. Good excuse to get pizza tonight for dinner. In fact maybe I can make this a Sunday habit.
